How to Make a Car Insurance Claim

To make a claim please call 1300 Insurance (1300 467 872) and follow the prompts.

Information to have with you when you call:
  1. Your policy number
  2. Details of the incident (including the date and time the incident occurred)
Additional information to provide:
  • Location, if possible the exact street address or any landmarks
  • Details of any other party involved (Rego, for both owner and driver: the full name, address and contact numbers)
  • Details of any witnesses
  • Details of any police or other emergency services that were involved
  • If your vehicle was towed from the scene, the current location of the vehicle and towing company details

Please have a pen and paper handy, as we may provide you with some important information that you will need to take note of.

Note: if you are not the policy holder, make sure that you are listed on the policy, otherwise we may not be able to discuss the incident with you.
