You will receive 75% of the total cost of treatment for your dog or cat, up to the annual limits, with the remaining 25% payable by you as a co-payment. Certain expenses are not covered. These are set out in the policy documentation.

The co-payment amount is 25% of the cost of the care for your pet. This means that the insurer will cover 75% of the cost, while you only pay 25% as a co-payment. For expample, if a vet bill was $100, your out of pocket expense would only be $25.

No, there is no excess payable.

Pets can be insured from 8 weeks of age. For Comprehensive cover your pet must have joined before its 9th birthday. There is no upper age limit for our Accident plan so any pet can join no matter how old. Don't delay as pet insurance is the one thing you cannot buy when you need it most - plan ahead.

Yes, once your pet is insured with us we will guarantee to renew your pet's policy for life and will not reduce your cover as your pet ages.

Your policy will commence at midnight on the day your proposal has been accepted by us. You may make a claim for an accident as soon as your policy is effective. A 30-day waiting period applies for illness condition claims.
Note: for cruciate ligament injuries or conditions a 6 month waiting period applies. You can remove the extra waiting period for cruciate ligament conditions by having your Veterinarian certify, at your own expense, that your Pet has no cruciate ligament conditions.

Like most insurance policies, we have a few exclusions to keep your premiums affordable. These include, but are not limited to, pregnancy, elective procedures, food, grooming, behavioural problems, and pre-existing conditions that showed clinical signs before taking out the insurance.

Yes, provided symptoms or clinical signs of these defects were not present prior to commencing cover.

Once we receive the documentation, your claim will be processed without delay and payment will be made either by cheque or directly into your nominated account.

Yes, you can use any vet who is licensed to practice in Australia.
